Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer II to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills in new product development, concept design, and design for manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be an expert in 3D CAD, thermoplastic parts, and stamp metal, and will be eager to mentor junior engineers. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer II, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex engineering projects. Your role will involve:

1. Leading new product development initiatives from concept to production, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Developing and implementing innovative concept designs that meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards.
3. Applying expert knowledge of design for manufacturing principles to optimize product design and improve manufacturing efficiency.
4. Utilizing advanced 3D CAD skills to create detailed design models and technical drawings.
5. Developing and testing thermoplastic parts and stamp metal components, conducting failure analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
6. Mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and sales, to ensure that product designs meet all necessary requirements.
8. Continually reviewing and updating engineering processes and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Senior Mechanical Engineer II role, you must have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a focus on new product development, concept design, and design for manufacturing.
3. Expertise in 3D CAD software, (CREO preferred but not required) with a strong ability to create detailed design models and technical drawings.
4. Extensive experience with thermoplastic parts and stamp metal, with a proven track record of developing and testing these components.
5. Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
