Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Developing, testing, and optimizing mechanical design solutions for our product range.
2. Using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects.
3. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and working closely with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and can be manufactured efficiently.
4. Applying engineering and scientific concepts to the design to ensure products are robust, reliable, and meet all required specifications.
5. Conducting product testing and failure analysis, including theoretical calculations and physical testing.
6. Preparing and delivering presentations to explain concepts and designs to internal teams and clients.
7. Identifying potential design improvements and providing solutions to design problems.
8. Evaluating and implementing design changes to improve quality and performance while reducing cost.
9. Ensuring all designs and engineering projects comply with applicable laws and regulations.
What you need for this position:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with a solid understanding of CAD/CAM software.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical design, structural design, and the principles of machine function.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and resolving potential design flaws.
6. Exceptional technical and project management skills.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues and clients.
