Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Compensation: $100k-$160k/year (depending on experience)
Location: Weirton, WV

Responsibilities:

• Lead the conceptualization, modeling, and specification development for our next-generation high-volume manufacturing line, driving innovation in automated manufacturing techniques across various operations.
• Ensure the implementation of industry standards and best practices to deliver world-class, safe, and efficient processes that consistently meet quality and cost targets.
• Collaborate closely with process engineering and R&D teams to validate pioneering production methods, contributing to our mission of technological advancement.
• Forge strategic partnerships with OEMs, working alongside the supply chain team to identify and integrate cutting-edge manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct thorough DFM (design for manufacturing) assessments in collaboration with our battery component design teams, optimizing production efficiency and quality.
• Lead the planning and execution of factory layout challenges specific to our operations, driving operational excellence.
• Provide detailed estimates and budgets as necessary to establish capital targets for the program, ensuring financial sustainability and resource optimization.
• Champion safety initiatives throughout the development of new equipment and processes, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and the integrity of operations.

What you need for this position:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical expertise.
• Possess proven experience in a pilot line or manufacturing NPI (New Product Introduction) environment, with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience, commensurate with educational background.
• Exhibit expertise in the design and operation of automated equipment for material handling and processing, with a track record of successful implementations.
• Showcase proficiency in a variety of common manufacturing technologies, encompassing roll-to-roll processing, bulk material handling, thermal processing, drying, ultrasonic welding, laser welding, among others.
• Demonstrate proficiency in designing and modeling full production lines from raw material to finished goods, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes.
• Display well-developed collaboration skills and extensive experience leading project execution in cross-functional teams, fostering synergy and achieving collective goals.
• Possess familiarity with industrial robotics and automation, leveraging technological advancements to drive efficiency and productivity in manufacturing operations.
