We are currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team. We specialize in creating adhesive bonded fastening to bear on the technical challenges of the marine, energy, and other industrial sectors. This ideal candidate will have experience with troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining facilities, equipment and grounds, while supporting minimal downtime.

The Senior Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled individual responsible for maintaining industrial equipment in a proactive manner. Performs all troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and continuously reviews and improves PM systems to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. The Senior Maintenance Technician leads maintenance projects including procurement of material and job planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively perform all condition based and preventive maintenance work to industrial standards.
  • Analyze performance data and provide improvement support based on findings and analysis.
  • Trains new and existing maintenance technician as well as apprentices
  • Document all work order information within Computer Maintenance Management System per best practices.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Major Breakdown Reports (MBR).
  • Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs and assist in determining resource requirements.
  • Prioritize multiple repairs in support of the manufacturing organization.
  • Provide technical training to allow them to perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Recommends spare part and stocking levels.
  • Assist with the more complex installation, start up, test, modification, and repair work.
  • Trouble shoots and repairs a wide range of automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs typical industrial electrical systems and components up to 480V.
  • Works on motors, electronic controllers, and circuit boards to troubleshoot, repair and install electronic components and systems, used on typical industrial equipment.
  • Utilize computer programs for various engineering, administrative and office procedural purposes.
  • Uses knowledge and experience with all types plumbing hydraulic and air systems, to troubleshoot, repair existing and install new systems.
  • Reads drawings and sketches to determine requirements. Uses typical shop equipment and measurement tools to fabricate new or repair various types of parts. Uses knowledge of metals and plastics to select appropriate materials, and speeds and feeds for cutting.

  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • Demonstrated success in full completion of projects.
  • Proven experience with CMMS for equipment and machinery management
  • Able to write work progress updates, written procedures, work instructions, and maintain records and logs.
  • Able to use a keyboard and computer to perform research and interface with software such as Maintenance Connection, Microsoft Windows Outlook, Word, Excel, and Explorer.
  • Able to perform basic math, including but not limited to addition, subtraction, division, fractions, and metric conversions. Application of geometry and algebra is a plus.
  • Must be able to perform duties from written and verbal instruction, sketches, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, visual aids, and memory recall.
  • Able to perform duties for up to 4 hours, without interruption.
  • Can correctly select, use, and maintain hand and power tools, test equipment such as multi-meter, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, and other tools typically required for the Essential Duties noted above.
  • Has knowledge and applies skills for general safety, such as, spill response, hazardous material handling/labeling (HMIS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and 6S.
  • Has the appropriate skills in operating software (Maintenance Connection) to obtain and update work assignments.
  • Able to research, communicate with vendors, recommend, and fill out purchase requests for suggested replacement parts and supplies.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel suite products is a must.
  • Able to support team members by working with, assisting, and training members of the team.
  • Able to comply with OSHA, environmental, industry and company policies.
  • When directed, able to adjust your normal work schedule to accommodate special projects, minimize production downtime, and reduce workload.
  • Must have a working knowledge of OSHA regulations, National Electric Codes, National Fire Codes, and International Building Codes.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Completion of 2-year vocational school, Apprenticeship, or Journeyman status is preferred.
  • Vocational classes in Machining, Machine repair, HVAC, and industry certifications such as MT1, MSSC, are preferred.
  • Sound electrical background and success trouble shooting PLCs and working on industrial motor controls for 5+ years is required.
  • 10 years of work experience in industrial maintenance.
