Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to the success of our operations in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging $50M to $1B+ ventures. This job will involve creating detailed cost estimates that will help drive our strategic planning and decision-making processes. Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects at various stages from concept to completion.
• Analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify and understand the project scope.
• Utilize HCSS/HeavyJob software for cost estimating and analysis.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project schedules and budgets.
• Perform risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular cost control and budget tracking activities to ensure project financial objectives are met.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project cost status, potential changes, and any other relevant issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating.
• Proficiency in HCSS/HeavyJob or equivalent estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent negotiating and contract negotiation skills.
• Proven experience in project and cost estimation, subcontracting, procurement, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
