Are you a seasoned professional in the construction industry with a keen eye for detail and a knack for numbers? If so, we are seeking an Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our operations, providing accurate cost estimates that drive the success of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. With a focus on project estimation, cost management, project bidding, budgeting, material take off (MTO), and cost analysis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial outcomes of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications, and identifying labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget.
  • Perform risk analysis to identify potential project challenges and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop project strategies and plans.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis, tracking changes in costs and adjusting budget projections as needed.
  • Participate in project bidding, preparing detailed bid packages, and assisting in the negotiation process.
  • Utilize construction estimating software to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with the latest industry trends, techniques, and materials to ensure estimates are competitive and comprehensive.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
  • Proficient in project estimation, cost management, project bidding, budgeting, construction estimating, material take off (MTO), and cost analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of construction laws and regulations.
  • Professional certification in construction estimating or cost engineering is a plus.
