With over 30 years in the Demolition space, we have become a leading contractor throughout Detroit and beyond. We focus primarily on commercial demolition and have a fantastic work environment that we've created in our office. We need a Senior Estimator to come on board who has experience in the Demolition space and wants to grow with a smaller organization. This person would spearhead estimating efforts for us by doing proposals, visiting job sites, interacting with clients, and more. Customer service is very important to us here. We look for people who have good communication and problem solving skills that can lead from the front.

Are you an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in Demolition? Do you have a passion for crunching numbers, creating contracts, and drafting proposals? Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator in Demolition, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for demolition projects, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
2. Reviewing and interpreting construction plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
3. Preparing and submitting competitive bids and proposals to secure new projects.
4. Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
5. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates.
6. Conducting risk analysis and implementing risk management strategies.
7. Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in demolition techniques and equipment.
8. Providing technical advice and solving problems on-site.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Estimator, specifically in the demolition sector of the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in preparing detailed cost estimates, contracts, and proposals.
3. Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.
4. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure profitable contracts.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct risk analysis and implement risk management strategies.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
7. Proficiency in industry-specific software and technology.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
