Job Details:

We are seeking a Senior Commercial and Business Litigator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where you will play a critical role in managing cases from inception to completion. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about law, have a keen eye for detail, and are adept at managing complex litigation cases. You will be working closely with other attorneys and partners to provide legal services for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
• Prepare for and participate in trials as the first chair and second chair, including presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and arguing motions.
• Conduct research to identify legal issues and gather relevant information for pending cases.
• Attend depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Work closely with other attorneys and partners to manage case preparation and strategy.
• Maintain communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal developments.
• Draft legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings.
• Assist with the development of case strategies, such as predicting case costs and assessing risks.
• Participate in business development and networking activities to generate new client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing.
• At least 7+ years of litigation experience (business and commercial)
• Proficiency in drafting and responding to motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Familiarity with court practices and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation cases.
• Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proven track record of maintaining high standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Ability to provide litigation samples as part of the application process.
