Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the efficient movement of materials from suppliers to meet production requirements. They will also be responsible for purchasing materials, components, and services, ensuring the best quality at the most competitive price. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a background in the Aerospace industry and a deep understanding of ERP/MRP software, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and manage inventory levels in relation to customer demand to determine optimal order quantities and ensure material availability for production.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
• Collaborate with the production team to schedule work orders and ensure timely completion of products.
• Utilize ERP/MRP software to plan and track material movements, production schedules, and purchase orders.
• Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and other relevant industry standards.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and advancements in technology to ensure competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Buyer/Planner role within the Manufacturing industry, preferably in Aerospace.
• Solid understanding of materials management principles, including MRP, JIT, and lean manufacturing.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP software is a must.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and other relevant industry standards.
• Proven track record of successful negotiation and supplier management.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
