Title: Buyer III
Location: Oxnard, CA
Salary: $80,000- $100,000
Requirements: Manufacturing/ Procurement of Goods / Buyer within Manufacturing

• Leading the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services from vendors both domestically and internationally.
• Distributing RFQs (Request for Quotations) to potential suppliers and analyzing their proposals to ensure the best quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders and contracts in line with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborating closely with the production planning team to ensure timely delivery of materials and components to meet production schedules.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, managing their performance, and resolving any issues or disputes.
• Continually identifying and implementing opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Keeping abreast of market trends and changes in business practices in the Engineering industry.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Buyer/Procurement role within the Engineering industry.
• Proven experience in manufacturing purchasing and production planning.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and preparation of purchase orders.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze supplier proposals and make decisions based on quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Proficient in using procurement software and other relevant computer applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
