Job Details

A world-class real estate firm is seeking a highly motivated, passionate and experienced Benefits Administrator to join their team. The Benefits Administrator plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing employee benefits programs within the organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of various benefit offerings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, collaborating with external vendors, and providing exceptional support to employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs, including workers' compensation, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and other related benefits. The Senior Benefits Administrator will report directly to the Chief People & Culture Officer and will play a critical role in the development and execution of our company's benefits strategy.

The Benefits Administrator is involved in strategic initiatives such as plan design changes and vendor negotiations, enhance the overall employee experience and support organizational goals. With a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and employee satisfaction, this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in benefits administration practices.


Responsibilities:

Administer and manage all employee benefits programs, including but not limited to health and wellness, retirement plans, life insurance, disability, and workers' compensation.
Ensure benefit programs are compliant with federal and state regulations.
Serve as the primary contact for benefits vendors and benefits broker.
Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system to employees during onboarding process.
Coordinate and manage annual benefits open enrollment process.
Process and manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting and accurate record-keeping.
Develop and maintain benefits communication materials to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of benefits package.
Analyze benefits plans, programs, and policies to ensure they are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements.
Assist in the development and execution of company's benefits strategy to align with the company's overall mission and objectives.
Prepare and execute, with legal consultation, benefits documentation, such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements, insurance policies, etc.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
3-7 years of progressive experience in benefits administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic work environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes, with proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software preferred.
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, with a desire to broaden expertise beyond benefits administration to other HR disciplines.
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
Working knowledge of workers' compensation and related legal requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and benefits administration software.
Ability to effectively communicate complex benefits information to employees.
Benefits (CEBS) or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required.
