Senior Audit Associate

We are in search of a Permanent Senior Audit Associate to join our dynamic team in the finance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing audit engagements, ensuring the highest quality of service to our clients. This role is highly strategic, requiring a deep understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit reports within the stipulated deadlines.
2. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas of risk and non-compliance.
3. Utilize CaseWare and other audit software to facilitate audit processes and maintain audit documentation.
4. Collaborate with team members to develop audit plans and strategies.
5. Stay abreast of changes in GAAS and other relevant auditing standards.
6. Ensure compliance with federal and industry regulations.
7. Assist with tax planning and compliance.
8. Provide insightful, fact-based data to help the company make informed decisions and meet regulatory requirements.
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
10. Provide training and mentorship to junior audit staff.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of three years of experience in auditing, with public accounting experience preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAS, internal controls, and audit processes.
4. Proficiency in CaseWare, Office 365, and other audit software.
5. Solid understanding of federal and industry compliance regulations.
6. Extensive experience in tax planning and compliance.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
10. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
11. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
12. CPA certification is highly desirable.
