Our growing firm adding a Senior Audit and Assurance Associate to our audit team. This role will be responsible for leading audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, many of which are not-for-profit organizations. The successful candidate will be a key player in executing our audit strategy, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and expertise.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Audit and Assurance Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing audits and assurance engagements from planning to completion.
  • Evaluating and testing business processes, internal controls, and risk management practices.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed audit reports and findings to the audit manager and partner.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior audit staff, providing feedback and guidance on their work.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in auditing practices.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their business operations and identify potential areas of risk.
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on auditing.
  • CPA certification or progressing to acquire the certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Experience with auditing not-for-profit organizations.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, audit planning, and audit procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
