Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Patent Litigator with 6-8 years of experience or above, preferably with less than 20 years of experience, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent litigation, team leadership, and case management.
Responsibilities:
1. Case Strategy and Management:

• Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies for patent cases, overseeing all phases from inception to resolution.
• Manage multiple patent litigation matters simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Lead case assessment, including infringement and validity analyses, and provide strategic guidance to the team.

2. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead a team in patent litigation matters, providing mentorship, guidance, and training.
• Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with other legal departments and external experts to leverage resources and expertise in case management.

3. Legal Research and Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on patent law, court decisions, and industry trends, applying insights to case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

4. Client Communication and Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in patent litigation matters, providing regular updates, strategic advice, and risk assessments.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business objectives and aligning legal strategies accordingly.

5. Courtroom Advocacy and Dispute Resolution:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
• Evaluate settlement opportunities and engage in settlement negotiations, exploring alternative dispute resolution methods when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 6-8 years of experience in patent litigation, preferably in a big law firm environment.
• Proven track record of successfully leading patent litigation cases from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, motion practice, and trial proceedings.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
