We are seeking an experienced Consulting Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. You will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. The role requires a self-starter who can work independently, but also collaboratively with various teams to ensure financial integrity and accuracy. With a minimum of 5 years of experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Document financial transactions by entering account information.
3. Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
4. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
5. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
6. Direct and oversee the operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
7. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
8. Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
9. Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
10. Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
11. Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
12. Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
13. Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
14. Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
3. Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
6. Experience with accounting software and databases.
7. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
10. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
