Job Details:

We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in the engineering industry. This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will play a pivotal role in our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Your primary focus will be on manufacturing accounting, inventory valuations, job costing, and the application of GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a background in aerospace or engineering and will be comfortable using Power BI and ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and in compliance with regulatory guidelines and corporate policies.
2. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, including the documentation of the company's systems of internal control.
3. Performing job costing, inventory valuations, and inventory allowances in accordance with GAAP.
4. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
5. Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
6. Participating in the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely completion.
7. Utilizing Power BI to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
8. Working closely with the operations team to understand and manage product and manufacturing costs.
9. Assisting with the implementation and management of the company's ERP system.
10. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the aerospace or engineering industry.
3. Solid knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
4. Experience with job costing, inventory valuations, and inventory allowances.
5. Proficiency in Power BI and ERP systems.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
