We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team in the Service industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in our fast-growing, innovative company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial duties, including financial analysis, month-end close, GAAP, accounts payable, audit, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role and will be eager to contribute to our team's success. Exposure to NetSuite would be a major plus!!

Responsibilities:

1. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
2. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
3. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
4. Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
5. Support all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and various special analyses.
6. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
7. Ensure company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
8. Support the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2. A minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.
4. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and have excellent presentation and communication skills.
5. Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus.
6. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
9. Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
10. CPA or MBA preferred.
