We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations, from Accounts Payable and Receivable to Financial Reporting and Budgeting. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Conducting monthly bank reconciliations and managing multi-state sales tax processes and company business license filings.
3. Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports and assisting in monthly and yearly closings.
4. Reviewing expense reports, managing billing and collections, and overseeing check runs.
5. Conducting regular ledger and bank reconciliation audits.
6. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
7. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes.
8. Preparing and coordinating the audit process.
9. Implementing and adhering to internal financial and accounting controls and procedures.
10. Participating in budgeting processes and preparing financial forecasts.
11. Analyzing financial data and create financial models for decision support.
12. Evaluating, developing, and improving financial processes to enhance speed, quality, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience with financial reporting, financial analysis, and budgeting.
6. Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data privacy standards.
7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
11. Knowledge of ACH payments, aging reports, and tax filings.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
