Senior Accountant

Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to contribute significantly to our fast-paced and growing organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including fixed asset accounting, month-end closing, journal entries, reviewing accounts payable and receivable, variance reports, P&L, and depreciation. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
4. Identify, investigate, and report on financial discrepancies and variances.
5. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
6. Oversee and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring all additions, disposals, and depreciation are accurately recorded.
7. Prepare and maintain the P&L statements, providing accurate and timely data to the management.
8. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
9. Participate in year-end audits and provide recommendations for improved processes.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in major accounting software programs, such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting, Month-End Close, Journal Entries, Reviewing AP & AR, Variance Reports, P&L, and Depreciation.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
