Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts.
2. Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
3. Supervise lower-level personnel in the accounting department, including accountants and accounting clerks.
4. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, and budget preparation.
5. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
6. Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
7. Oversee the preparation and planning of audits.
8. Engage in the ongoing detailed management of the company’s financial practices and procedures.
9. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the Commercial Real Estate, Investments, or Private Equity sectors.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
4. Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
