We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Medical industry. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for a variety of complex accounting functions including forecasting, analysis, financial reporting, reconciliations, and auditing. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Medical industry. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for a variety of complex accounting functions including forecasting, analysis, financial reporting, reconciliations, and auditing. You will play a critical role in the financial stability and growth of our organization, and your expertise will contribute directly to our mission of providing excellent healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report, and forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, forecasting, and payroll.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- An understanding of the medical industry's unique financial needs and challenges is a plus.
