We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Medical industry. This is a permanent role where you will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. This position is integral to our financial operations and requires a strong understanding of GAAP, proficiency in managing accounts payable, and experience in preparing grant proposals. If you are a driven individual with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting and a desire to excel in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
2. Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including verifying invoices, processing payments, and resolving discrepancies.
3. Develop comprehensive financial forecasts and budgets, monitoring actual results against projections and making necessary adjustments.
4. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insight into business performance and to support decision-making processes.
6. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
7. Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring all financial information is accurately represented and in compliance with grant requirements.
8. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
9. Continually review processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the Medical industry.
3. Proficient in financial reporting, GAAP, accounts payable, forecasting, budgeting, account reconciliation, financial analysis, and general ledger.
4. Experience in preparing and submitting grant proposals.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
7. High degree of proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
10. Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus.
