We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position where you will play a critical role in our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting our financial team. You will be a part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position where you will play a critical role in our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting our financial team. You will be a part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Plan, assign and review staff’s work
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Liaise with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintain general ledger and prepare month-end close procedures
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree; MBA preferred
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Solid experience in account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
