We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a knack for working with numbers and financial statements. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance department with responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

1. Preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
2. Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
3. Conducting balance sheet reconciliation and maintaining the General Ledger (GL).
4. Preparing and reporting sales tax, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
5. Managing month-end close processes and producing relevant reports.
6. Developing, implementing, modifying, and documenting recordkeeping and accounting systems.
7. Analyzing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
8. Ensuring adherence to the company's financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in preparing financial statements, making journal entries, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Experience with P&L statements and GL maintenance.
5. Knowledge of sales tax reporting and month-end close processes.
6. Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
8. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
9. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
