Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant to join our team in the Construction industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our organization, ensuring the accuracy of our financial reports, and making sure we meet our financial legal obligations.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Preparing and consolidating financial statements
2. Establishing and maintaining internal controls
3. Managing all aspects of the general ledger
4. Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
5. Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
6. Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
7. Coordinating the activities of external auditors
8. Managing the company's financial reporting processes and procedures
9. Assisting in the development of financial personnel
10. Overseeing the financial inventory control process
11. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes
12. Participating in special projects and system improvements.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2. CPA or MBA preferred
3. 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
4. Knowledge of GAAP
5. Proven experience from the Big 4 accounting firms
6. Experience in the construction industry is a plus
7. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes
8. Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
9. Excellent leadership and team management skills
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills
11. High attention to detail and accuracy
12. Ability to direct and supervise.
