Senior Accountant

An amazing healthcare client of ours in Lincoln is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions.
2. Oversee and manage the general ledger.
3. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Review and process Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
6. Prepare and analyze financial statements for management team.
7. Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
8. Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
9. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the workflow of the department.
10. Utilize NetSuite to streamline accounting functions and maintain financial records.
11. Assist in other special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Medical industry.
3. Proficient in Account Reconciliation, General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, and Financial Statements Preparation.
4. Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
7. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Highly detail-oriented and organized.
10. Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
11. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
12. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
