Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic technology team. This position offers an opportunity to grow and make a significant contribution to our company by overseeing our financial operations, improving our financial processes, enhancing accuracy of financial transactions, and helping us make data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably in the technology industry. They should be well-versed in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and have a proven track record of senior-level accounting. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas).
• Solid knowledge of financial statement analysis and projection.
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
