Are you an experienced Senior Accountant with a knack for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for numbers? We are seeking a dynamic, driven professional to join our team as a Consulting Senior Accountant. Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Senior Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy.
3. Preparing and posting journal entries for accruals, fixed assets, expenses, and revenue.
4. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Providing financial analysis and forecasting.
6. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
7. Supporting the external audit process by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
8. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
9. Advising management on needed actions and strategies to optimize financial performance.
10. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
11. Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries and reconciliations.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
9. CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is a plus.
10. Experience in a consulting environment is preferred but not required.
