Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of financial procedures, including but not limited to:

1. Managing the organization's general ledger system and completing monthly closings.
2. Overseeing fixed assets by keeping a record of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
3. Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
4. Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Conducting regular ledger reconciliation and rectifying any discrepancies.
7. Liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
8. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
9. Providing guidance to junior accounting staff and reviewing their work for accuracy.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the medical industry.
3. Proven experience with fixed assets, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.
4. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Experience with budget preparation and financial analysis.
6. Exceptional knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
7. Proficiency in accounting software.
8. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
10. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
