Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all daily accounting operations including, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Participate in the development and support of the company’s strategic plans.
3. Monitor the financial performance of the company and report on financial performance.
4. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or as needed.
5. Assist in the preparation of the company’s budget and financial forecasts. Report variances and prepare for regular forecast review meetings.
6. Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Review BOMS and standard costs, and perform cost accounting tasks.
9. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
10. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
11. Liaise with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
3. Minimum of five years of related experience in a senior accounting role.
4. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to direct and supervise.
7. Advanced proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
8. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a must
9. Exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of economic and financial trends.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
