Senior Accountant

We are a leading telecommunications company looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for a variety of financial reporting duties. You will play a pivotal role in our accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. The ideal Senior Accountant has public accounting experience and is looking to move into industry or someone who has blended public accounting and industry experience but is looking to take the next step in their career! This role is heavily focused in financial reporting, as well as intercompany transactions and team building. The ideal Senior Accountant has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and is looking for growth in their career!

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your primary duties will include:

1. Preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures accurately and within specified deadlines.
3. Conducting thorough bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and properly posted.
4. Assisting with the preparation of reports for external auditors, ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and in compliance with accounting standards.
5. Identifying and resolving technical accounting issues, providing guidance and recommendations to management as needed.
6. Collaborating with other members of the finance team to streamline and improve financial processes and systems.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current financial regulations, trends, and best practices.
8. Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA Certification is strongly preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
4. Solid experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and bank reconciliations.
5. Previous experience in public accounting is a plus.
6. Advanced knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
10. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
