Senior Accountant

Rapidly growing consumer products/technology company based out of Austin.

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, general ledger reconciliation, audit and tax prep. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and detailed general ledger records
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurate
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
• Work with external auditors to prepare for and support financial audits
• Assist with the preparation of annual income tax filings
• Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and best practices
• Utilize accounting software and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proven experience with general ledger reconciliations, month-end close processes, and financial statement preparation
• Experience working with external auditors
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must)
• Experience with accounting software (NetSuite) a plus
