Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our vibrant accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall financial management and accounting functions of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost accounting, and monthly reporting. This role will be pivotal in providing financial insights to the management team, analyzing financials, identifying variances, and making necessary adjustments to drive business performance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of P&L and a proven track record of effectively leading a finance team.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections, and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
5. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive job cost system.
6. Direct and analyze studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
7. Report financials accurately and timely, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
8. Identify and report variances, making necessary adjustments to improve financial performance.
9. Review and monitor P&L statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
10. Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller or similar role in the Sales industry.
3. Proven experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, monthly reporting, and variance analysis.
4. Strong understanding of P&L statements and adjustments.
5. Advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
9. Exceptional numerical proficiency and strong attention to detail.
10. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) is considered an asset.
