A CPA firm in the Sacramento area is seeking Senior Accountant on a permanent basis. This company is offering an extremely flexible schedule and the opportunity for REMOTE/ hybrid (must live within an hour of the Sacramento area). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting and finance, with a deep understanding of both bookkeeping for clients and taxes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced professionals and directly contribute to the financial success of a diverse portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of our clients' accounting functions, including but not limited to general ledger, closing, financial reporting, and taxes
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the CPA profession.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to client inquiries and concerns.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in tax laws to ensure compliance and provide clients with the most current and accurate information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is a plus, not required
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a CPA firm.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in bookkeeping for clients and taxes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
