Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in finance and accounting, as well as operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting and taxes.
2. Manage the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
3. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
4. Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls.
5. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
6. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
7. Respond to inquiries from the Controller, and other department managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
8. Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
9. Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in industry accounting or in public accounting
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
5. System experience using QuickBooks.
6. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
7. Accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
9. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
10. Knowledge of financial regulations.
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
13. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
