Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary technical resource for addressing customer inquiries related to products.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to analyze their applications, capture relevant requirements, and assess the feasibility of existing products to meet those needs.
  • Propose innovative technological solutions when current products fall short or fail to meet specific technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with the team to provide product and solution information for marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure the successful commercialization of both current and new products.
  • Support the commercial team in documenting business cases for pursuing new opportunities, including engineering development and resource investment.
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of content and materials used for customer training, and may provide specific field training when necessary.
  • Collect and document detailed customer requirements for emerging applications and new needs.
  • Recommend and contribute to the development of new engineering solutions based on customer needs and emerging technology trends.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer engineering issues using current products or through the application development of new solutions.
  • Periodically travel to meet customers and participate in trade shows or industry events.
  • Collaborate with relevant entities, prototype shops, and vendors as necessary to provide customers with samples or prototypes.
  • Add, track, and maintain all new business opportunities within the CRM tool.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with custom engineered technical products.
  • Strong association with Aerospace, Marine, Military, and Automotive markets is highly desirable.
  • Robust working knowledge of fastening and adhesive products is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as aerospace procedures, blueprints, engineering requirements, statements of work, and engineering test reports.
  • Customer-centric disposition with a passion for providing exceptional service, asking relevant questions, and delivering accurate and detailed responses with a sense of urgency.
  • Effective collaboration skills across all organizational facets, including engineering, sales, manufacturing, and quality personnel.
  • Analytical mindset geared towards seeking win-win solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent experience in application development engineering.
  • Minimum of three years of experience, preferably in aerospace fasteners, aerospace field applications, aerospace mechanical engineering component development, or other relevant areas.
