Responsibilities

This role entails engaging directly with customers to devise winning solutions and strategies. It involves presenting these solutions to key decision-makers and participating in business development activities such as scheduling appointments, conducting thorough research on client needs, and delivering tailored presentations. Collaboration with our telemarketing and New Business Development Team will support these efforts. Maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring loyalty through exceptional service is a primary focus within the New Business Development Team. As part of a cohesive team, the Sales Engineer will collaborate with various departments to develop and execute strategies for optimal success. Analyzing technical challenges and devising effective solutions for application implementation is a core aspect of the role. Additionally, becoming proficient in our products, conducting technical demonstrations and presentations, and managing a home-based office with minimal travel are key responsibilities. Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or address urgent customer needs. Regular prospecting calls are necessary to maintain a target of 6-8 face-to-face visits per week.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred. Knowledge and experience with PLC, HMI, robotics, sensors, safety, machine vision, and industrial motion control products are advantageous. Prior experience in an automation or manufacturing environment is desirable, along with strong sales and communication skills.
