This is a contract position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Director or a similar role.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Provide safety training and education to all employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
5. Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and provide regular reports to management.
6. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety procedures into daily operations.
7. Stay updated on current safety trends, innovations, and best practices in the construction industry.
8. Advocate for a positive safety culture and lead by example in all safety matters.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Safety Director role or similar, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of EHS management systems and relevant safety regulations and standards.
4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
5. Proven track record in developing and implementing effective safety programs.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
8. Proficient in using safety management software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
10. Willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
