Row Crop Manager

We are a large-scale farm in the mid-west looking for a Row Crop Manager to join our growing team!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement annual cropping plans for row crops, including corn, soybeans, and vegetables
• Manage all aspects of crop production, from planting to harvesting, ensuring optimal yields and quality
• Monitor and control costs to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize profitability
• Utilize crop production applications and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery used in crop production
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of crops
• Monitor and analyze crop production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Develop and manage budgets for crop production operations, including forecasting and cost control functions
• Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and best practices for sustainable and responsible farming
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to crop production activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in agricultural large-scale development, with a focus on row crops
• Strong knowledge and understanding of crop production techniques and practices
• Proficient in developing and implementing annual cropping plans for various row crops
• Experience in fertilization, pest control, and irrigation systems for row crops
• Familiarity with Class A CDL and ability to operate agricultural equipment and machinery
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
