Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team on a contract basis in the Space industry. This is a fast-paced and exciting role that requires exceptional technical expertise and a strong background in Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Mechanical engineering, and various testing equipment such as microscopes, 3D Prototypes, spectrum analyzers, Network Analyzers, DMMs, and other RF test equipment. As a Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our engineering team in designing, prototyping, and testing cutting-edge products in the aerospace sector. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to assemble and test electro-mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize your expertise in mechanical engineering to assist in the design and development of new products, ensuring they are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
  • Conduct thorough testing and analysis of prototypes using various equipment, including microscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and RF equipment, to identify and resolve any technical issues.
  • Perform detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and any modifications made during the prototyping and testing phase.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing and assembly process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in electro-mechanical assembly and testing techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve our processes and products.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate components, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures to ensure consistent product quality and reliability.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a similar role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Mechanical engineering, and testing equipment such as microscopes, 3D Prototypes, spectrum analyzers, Network Analyzers, DMMs, and RF other equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace products.
  • Experience with quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
