Job Title: Revenue Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Revenue Manager with a CPA certification and expertise in ASC 606 standards to join our dynamic team. The Revenue Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing revenue-generating activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition: Oversee the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines. Analyze contracts and transactions to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

ASC 606 Implementation: Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ASC 606 standards across the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of ASC 606 on revenue recognition processes and systems.

Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate revenue performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth and optimize profitability.

Contract Review: Review customer contracts and agreements to assess revenue implications and identify any potential issues or risks. Work closely with legal and sales teams to structure contracts that align with revenue recognition policies.

Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during financial audits and reviews. Prepare documentation and schedules related to revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance revenue recognition processes and controls to streamline operations and mitigate risks. Implement best practices and automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, sales, legal, and other departments to address revenue-related matters and drive alignment across the organization. Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on revenue recognition issues.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver training sessions on revenue recognition principles and ASC 606 requirements for relevant stakeholders. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and disseminate knowledge throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in revenue accounting or related roles, preferably in a public accounting firm or a high-growth company.
Expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and experience leading ASC 606 implementation projects.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Netsuite and revenue automation tools is a plus.
