Revenue and Regulatory Accountant

We are a family-run O&G producer operating in Wyoming, Texas, and California. We strive to be the premier low-cost leader in the industry focused on low-cost, environmentally responsible, safe, and efficient operations.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong experience in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

• Management and implementation of accounting processes and controls
• Provide monthly LOS statements for management review
• Regulatory filing and reporting, state and federal
• Perform monthly revenue reconciliation
• Revenue, expense, and capital variance reporting and pricing variances; work with operations and management to resolve differences month over month
• Respond to royalty owner and working interest partner inquiries

Qualifications:

• +5 years of hands-on operational oil and gas accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent
• Strong accounting software background (WolfePak a plus)
• Strong oil and gas revenue accounting background
• Strong Tax background (severance, ad valorem, and sales tax)
• Knowledgeable of service company accounting practices
• Able to work on a very small team and possesses a willingness to take on many other responsibilities and tasks outside of the accounting discipline
