We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Tax Supervisor for our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law, tax compliance, and tax research. The Tax Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax department to ensure compliance with the latest tax laws and regulations. This role involves strategic planning, managing tax reporting, and coordinating audits. Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage the daily operations of the tax department.
2. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
3. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
4. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax documents.
5. Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the tax team.
6. Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
7. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
8. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
9. Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
10. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is highly desirable.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role and at least 2 years of experience in a management role.
4. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
5. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
6. Strong proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
7. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
10. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines.
11. Experience with tax research tools such as BNA and RIA.
