Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Excellence: Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, adhering to nursing and hospital standards.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, following approved nursing practices.
- Patient Safety & Comfort: Maintain a vigilant awareness of patients' comfort and safety needs at all times.
- Clinical Observation: Monitor patients closely, recording significant conditions and reactions, and promptly notifying medical staff of any concerns.
- Standards & Protocols: Respond effectively to all situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Documentation: Diligently document nursing histories and physical assessments for assigned patients.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing; a BSN is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess an active Colorado Registered Nurse license.
- Certifications: Current AHA and BLS Certification required upon hire; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc.) may be necessary for OB nurses.
- Professional Experience: Prior experience in OB nursing is advantageous, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the specific care needs within this department.
