We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Underwriting Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in our company, leading and managing the underwriting activities in your designated region. You will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting process, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, and managing risks effectively. This role requires a high level of strategic thinking, leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the underwriting team in the region, ensuring that they meet the company's standards and objectives.
2. Develop and implement underwriting strategies to maximize profitability and growth.
3. Conduct detailed risk assessments and make informed decisions on insurance policy issuance.
4. Perform market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the insurance industry.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to promote business growth.
7. Provide training and mentorship to underwriting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Collaborate with other departments such as Claims, Risk Management, and Sales to ensure seamless operations.
9. Continually review and update underwriting policies and procedures to reflect changes in the market and regulatory environment.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on underwriting management.
2. Proven experience in risk assessment, policy analysis, and market analysis.
3. Extensive knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Exceptional decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including brokers, agents, and clients.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
9. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. A professional certification in underwriting is a plus.
10. Proficiency in using underwriting software and other related IT systems.
