Job Details

As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be a key contributor to our Stop Loss Division's growth strategy, responsible for driving sales initiatives and expanding our market presence within your designated region. Leveraging your extensive experience in the insurance sector, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive new business acquisition by engaging in proactive outside sales and marketing efforts targeted towards Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and Brokers in your assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain long-term client relationships through regular sales calls and personalized client support.
  • Effectively manage and grow existing business portfolios, fostering strong connections with TPAs/Brokers through on-site visits and prompt resolution of client concerns.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of current and potential producers, leveraging this information to drive sales and enhance client engagement.
  • Track sales performance metrics, including pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts, and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Utilize negotiation skills to secure competitive fees and successfully close new business opportunities as well as renewals.
  • Stay abreast of competitor pricing and industry trends, leveraging this knowledge to inform strategic decision-making and market positioning.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to effectively penetrate the market and drive revenue growth within the Stop Loss Division
  • Gather insights from utilization review and managed care organizations to inform stop-loss pricing strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as producer quote ratio, close ratio, renewal persistency, and loss ratio, adjusting marketing strategies as necessary.
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients and internal departments, serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and needs.
  • Undertake various ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 7 + years of progressive professional experience in marketing and sales roles.
  • Strong grasp of sales principles, practices, and procedures, with demonstrated ability to apply knowledge effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical abilities, with proven capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments relevant to the company's business domain.
