Quality Technician

This position is responsible for participating in all activities conducted by the Quality Department as assigned by the Quality Manager and will strive to ensure food safety, food quality and employee safety. The QA technician will strive to follow all principles pertinent to the position as specified by the Company.

This is an entry level role! Contract to Hire! PCQI Certification is a must!

Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Quality Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. As a vital member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise in quality control, food manufacturing, will be highly valued. Our ideal candidate will be proficient in moisture testing, pH and sodium analysis, and will have a thorough understanding of HACCP and PCQI principles. This is a contract position requiring a minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular quality control tests and inspections on all incoming materials and finished products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
• Perform moisture testing, pH and sodium analysis to ensure the safety and quality of our plant-based food products.
• Implement and maintain HACCP and PCQI principles to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Document and report any quality-related issues to the Quality Manager and work closely with the production team to develop corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
• Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
• Ensure all equipment used for testing is properly calibrated and maintained.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a quality control role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with plant-based food products is highly desirable.
• Proficient in moisture testing, pH, and sodium analysis.
• Solid understanding of HACCP and PCQI principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot quality-related issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.
