Job Details

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for analyzing the system performance scientifically and feedback to Quality Manager with concerns and opportunities. The system performance analysis is including the analysis of raw materials CoA and scrap rates. The correlation of environmental aspects to film mechanical properties changes...etc

Provides the scientific proofs for the required improvements either in process, in RM, in TM, or in machines.
Improve decision making process through providing the proper analysis and studies to QA manager.
Translate and communicate customer quality requirements into plans and assess current capability to meet requirements.
Effectively interacts with Production, R&D, Process Engineering and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.
Maintains the company quality inspection for incoming and in-process materials and components.
Leads and or supports investigations of Internal and external quality issues in a timely manner and implement effective corrective and preventive actions using root cause tools (5 why, root cause failure analysis, fishbone, etc).
Monitors quality performance by gathering data and producing reports
Analyze internal and external failure data and ongoing quality performance for continuous improvement opportunities and drive CI efforts
Provide guidance to newer technicians and help them resolve challenges they may encounter with samples of equipment operation
Initiate monitor and execute quality improvements program/ projects to align with and achieve quality objectives, to improve customer satisfaction.
Develop, Maintain and provide quality metrics as required to facilitate a positive proactive change in quality performance.

Skills Needed:

Good demonstrated understanding of quality standards and procedures
Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with all personnel
Demonstrated time and project management skills - Be able to work independently and as a member of a team
Attention to detail required
Results oriented, multi-tasking, and be able to respond to urgent needs and meeting deadlines
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Proficient computer and MS Office skills (incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) required
Working knowledge of ISO 9001
Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field, MBA a plus
3+ years of Quality Assurance experience
Experience in ISO 9001, Certification in Six Sigma a Plus
Sound process knowledge and experience in plastic industry
Practical knowledge of formulation practices
Practical knowledge of plastic film test equipment
Basic understanding of TQM Philosophy, Continuous Improvement Methodologies, and Lean Manufacturing
Knowledge of quality auditing
Experience with SAP or another ERP System
