We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, developing quality control processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 2015. This role is critical to our mission of delivering high-quality products that meet the exacting standards of our clients in the aerospace and automotive sectors.

In this role, you will support the overall plant quality system and work with suppliers and customers to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. Effectively analyze problems and provide solutions internally and to our external customers

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications, consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals.
2. Supervise a team of quality technicians, assigning work and providing guidance and training as necessary.
3. Conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement appropriate corrective actions.
4. Coordinate with the production team to establish quality criteria and standards for the manufacturing process.
5. Carry out Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to anticipate potential faults and implement preventive measures.
6. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 2015 standards.
7. Review and analyze quality performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving change initiatives.
8. Liaise with external quality auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
9. Coordinate with suppliers and customers relating to quality trends, performance, and corrective actions.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Software Quality Engineer (SQE).
4. In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
5. Proven experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 2015 standards.
6. Experience in the aerospace and automotive industries is a strong advantage.
7. Strong knowledge of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
8. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong leadership and project management abilities.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Proficient in using various software and technology platforms related to quality control and manufacturing.
