QA / BA Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-impact software solutions, setting a benchmark for quality and innovation.
• Directly contribute to coding and system design, demonstrating best practices.
• Mentoring: Act as a mentor to the engineering team, sharing your expertise and guiding them through complex technical challenges to foster growth and development.
• Spearhead the transition to Azure PaaS, mapping out and executing a strategy to modernize legacy systems for enhanced fault tolerance, monitoring, and scalability.
• Drive the improvement of our security middleware and public API interfaces, ensuring robust defense mechanisms are in place to protect our systems and data.
• Lead efforts to increase the capacity and efficiency of our integrations with third-party APIs, enhancing functionality and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect solutions that meet business requirements and system architecture to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the Scrum board with the Technical Team Lead to ensure accurate project tracking and efficient sprint management.
• Lead quality assurance efforts, developing and implementing test strategies to ensure defect-free software delivery.
• Implement and refine automated testing practices to enhance the precision and efficiency of our QA efforts.
• Work closely with stakeholders to sharpen and specify project requirements, ensuring they are actionable and aligned with our strategic objectives.
• Facilitate smooth collaboration between developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to project requirements and QA standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any impediments to keep project timelines on track and maintain workflow continuity.
• Champion for quality within the team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in all development processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer and 2+ or more years of experience in a leadership role
• Expertise with QA / BA processes, automation tools, and frameworks in a C# & Azure environment
• Experience maintaining the Scrum board, leading QA efforts, leveraging test automation, and actively contributing to requirements refinement to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions,
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to drive high-quality software development.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, T-SQL, and PowerShell scripting for database management and automation tasks in a .NET/Azure environment.
• Experience of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and the importance of automating the software release process, a key part of both development and QA in modern .NET environments.
• Solid foundation in automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or Azure Test Plans, with a focus on API testing, performance testing, and security testing within a .NET context.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experienced with the agile software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment
• Experience with a complex order processing or financial system would be a good base for understanding for our business domain.
